New Heights Score | Internal engagement campaign

To celebrate Optiver’s 35th anniversary, all Optiver employees were invited to a celebration weekend in the mountains serving as a moment to bond, recharge and “Reach new heights together”. To boost anticipation and audience engagement prior to the trip, an internal campaign was designed focusing on pre-communication activities lead by an app. By incorporation gamification, Optiverians were invited to embark on the mission, collect as many points as possible through a series of compelling challenges and reach the “New Heights Score”.

Challenges Await
Each Optiverian can collect points by completing a challenge, which are added to a total. The amount of points is visualised in the app by a virtual mountain showing an alpinist climbing a meter for every point collected. After the Optiverians collectively reach specific heights, new teasers, activations and gifts are unlocked. Users are required to upload pictures that will be shared on a feed to show the completion of a challenge and simultaneously enthusing colleagues.

The App

The concept of the app is based on the journey of an alpinist, which serves as a metaphor for the journey of the Optiverians. They need to be in physical and mental top condition, think strategically, be able to collaborate with their team and be equipped with the right tools to move safely and enjoy their journey. These characteristics formed the inspiration for the challenges incorporated in the app.
